Twinkle twinkle little stars...

In case you where wondering, the little stars mentioned are the little lights in his eyes.His eyes twinkle when he tells his stories, plain as those stories may well be, they are, in their own right, amazing.

I rode past his farm on my mountainbike, saw him standing in his front yard and waved.He said something so I turned back, rode up to him, put my mountainbike against a pole in the ground and started a conversation (well, he did most of the talking ;-) ) that lasted close to 40 minutes.I tried to say goodbye at least ten times but again and again he began telling his stories or bring up yet another subject.

Isn't this a part of what it's all about ? Of being a "Photographer", A portrayer of People ?
If, at one stage, I hadn't ripped myself away from him and his stories, I would still be there.

In fact, he asked me for some prints and I promised to bring some to him.His own words : " So his next of kin would have some great photos to remember him by"

I never said it, but I thought : "Let's all hope you live to be a 110..."
