 there is no 60 day cure for obesity. bite the bullet, eat only what you need, no junk food, no pops, no chips. its about teaching your kids that when they have a snack they pick something like an apple. PLAY with your little chubby twelve year old kids, get them outside and kick the soccer ball around, play some basketball or hockey. It is the entire fault of the parent if their child is obese(glandular conditions aside), its up to the parents to instill good eating habits and exercise in their children. 

its easier to curb this in young kids by teaching healthy values, not diets. when you give your kid a dollar and they buy an apple or orange instead of a chocolate bar you're on the right track.
