Vancouver Police have released CCTV footage and photos of a person of interest in a sex assault that took place on Tuesday, March 23rd at 5:00 p.m. along the seawall south of the 700 block of Pacific Boulevard.

A public advisory was issued on March 24th about the incident, in which a woman walking her dog was approached from behind by a man who reached under her skirt and grabbed her buttocks. The woman turned and confronted the man and he ran away eastbound towards the Plaza of Nations.

The man in the images appears to be white, 20 to 25 years old, 5`7" tall, with a slim to medium build and short blonde hair, which is similar to the description that was provided to investigators. He is wearing a black faded pullover hoodie-style jacket with some type of white logo on the front and baggy blue jeans, which is also similar.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate this man. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Sex Crimes Unit at 604-717-2634 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
