Virtual Bodies: One Step Closer to Reality

As what featured in the latest experiment, the volunteers were positioned having in their backs the vibrating pads with flashing lights. These virtual bodies were generated as a camera films the activity of their backs and can be viewed 2 meters in front using a head-mounted display. The volunteers repeatedly stroke each others back and as the sight of their doppelganger being stroked, it creates the sensation that they were outside of their bodies.
