This years www.walknowforautismspeaks.ca/ donor drive and walking event in Toronto, Canada on June 26th 2011 has a very very personal connection. My own 4 year old son was recently diagnosed with autism and attention deficit hyperactive disorder, a dual diagnosis that has him sometimes running in circles only to come crashing down. His daily struggles are makes him a super hero, simple things many others take for granted are sometimes an act of a miracle to achieve. My son Myles is extremely intelligent , expressive, emotional, loving and an all round amazing little boy. He has faced forms of discrimination already in his young life it scares his mother and I into what lays ahead in his future as a young adult then a full grown adult . Will he be able to live on his own independently or will he require around the clock supervision as he does now. The future is unknown this is why I am proud to say that both as a father of an amazing autistic child and as a pursuer of the paranormal I can announce the PAIR A NORMAL GUYS INC http://www.walknowforautismspeaks.ca/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.home associative mission to unite the paranormal community with my sons Myles TEAM SMILES 4 MYLES and all Autism Speaks walking events in North America. I have begun reach out on all social media outlets from facebook to twitter and created a TEAM SMILES 4 MYLES facebook fan page with all of the vital links listed. Our ultimate goal is to both raise awareness of autism and possible raise donations to go along with research and various other programs desperately needed. It is extremely important we bring this to the forefront especially since the number of babies born with autism is growing larger and larger the new estimate is that 1 in 38 will have some form of autism.
