Nearly two thirds of adults from the UK risk their health through insufficient exercise, says the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), as it launches a new campaign ‘Move for Health’.

The Charted Society of Physiotherapy conducted a survey amongst 2,084 adults and found that just under two thirds, 63%, were not getting enough exercise.

The survey found that most people continue to ignore advice about eating healthily and taking exercise. Only one fifth take exercise just once a month. Worryingly it appears most people still do not know how much exercise they should be taking. Some of the reasons behind the lack of exercise were due to either little time to fit it into the daily routine or wanting access to exercise that is free.

The CSP has published a free ‘Easy Exercise Guide’ and says adults should exercise for 30 minutes, 5 times per week.
