Wet N Wild Makeup Remover Recalled - High Bacteria Count
Wet n Wild Eye Makeup Remover is being recalled in Canada due to high bacterial counts. The Wet n Wild Eye Makeup Remover was found to have high numbers of bacteria including Enterobacter gergoviae and Listeria monocytogenes. The former can cause eye infections and the Listeria can cause a whole litany of symptoms, some leading to death. A full product description follows.
"This recall involves the wet n wild eye make-up remover. The product is a purple-coloured liquid in a clear 3 fl.oz. (88.7mL) clear bottle. The recalled product has item number 962 and UPC 077802596208 on the back panel." HealthyCanadians
Hazard: Bacteria in the eye makeup remover can cause eye infections and more serious illnesses.
Fix: Throw away the Wet N Wild Makeup Remover that has been identified as having a high bacterial content, or alternatively, return to the store where you bought it.

A company with a similar name Markwins Beauty Products of City of Industry, California had a lip gloss keychain withdrawn from the marketplace this spring due to an unacceptable level of lead in the metal clasp of the keychain. About 75 000 of the Lip Gloss Keychains were involved. The Lip Gloss Keychains were manufactured in China.
