As a muslim I am taught that the world will almost certainly not know peace untill the saviour jesus of nazereth is reborn. That doesn't mean we shouldn't work for peace ourselves. Of course we should aim to get as close as we can before God blesses the earth again with his last but one messenger. Inner city east London is a diverse cultural melting pot with a varied mix of religious practice. I was born and raised a christian in a fairly secular household on a drug infested housing estate. There were many religious tensions bubbling under the surface and many rival small time gangsters "protecting" their part of the community. Divided and ruled by a government everyone said they didnt want. When decent people allow themselves to be divided it lets bad elements creep in. Occultists gained some popularity around my area. They called themselves by different names but they were satanists all the same. 130 years ago the salvation army cleaned up the east end. London got dirty again.

Admin decided to mark this as opinion not me. Are all religious pieces marked this way? Is the religious belief of almost 2 billion people an opinion? These facts of islam may not be common knowledge but they are facts all the same. Muslims believe that jesus will return and rule the world as king in gods name for 40 years

There will indeed be peace when Jesus returns but that will also be the end of this world and a beginning of his kingdom.

Most articles written by NP members are marked opinion no matter the subject.

It will be the end of this world as we know it but not yet the day of judgment by the one God, that happens later. Not every story is marked as opinion, at least not so many when this was written

Opinion can be also truth.  I think they decided this is not current news.

The timing  events on the return of Jesus are not known but there will be a judgment for all, at some point after his return.  One verse in the bible says there will be1000 years of peace on earth under the rule of Jesus.

True, the book of revelation in the Bible says that. As a muslim I dont believe that part of the Bible to have come from God and in fact some Christian academics also take that view. Islam teaches that Jesus will return for 40 years only but also does not say precisely when. The Quran also states that none but God knows when the day of judgment will be. Lets hope that we can come close to peace even before the return of Jesus

Good information.  We really do not need to know exactly how the end times will play out. What we all, Muslim, Christian, others, need to do is to live our lives so we can answer to God at that time.

Jesus also said that he did not know when, that ony God knows.

Precisely, religion is not about going to church or mosque and going in dirty and coming out clean, keep decent in the first place. I can not think of anything that Jesus said in the Bible that contradicts Islam

Jesus lived on earth before Muhammad so Islam did not exist on earth in his time.

But one instance may be Jesus said he is the son of God and Islam teaches he was a prophet, but human.

In the basic teaching on how people should treat others there is much similar teaching in the Bible and Koran.

No not really dude, every messinger of God had the same message, Adam, David, Moses, Jesus and Mohammed, peace be upon them all. Islam teaches that they are all muslim, in that muslim means follower of God and they all do follow God. Islam teaches that the previous books were altered, but that the Quran will remain protected by God forever

In the meaning of all follow God then I agree.

I have read about half the Koran.  When I finish it I can speak about it better.

Ok dude I will look forward to it

Where in the Bible does Jesus claim to be the son of God ? Read the book of Matthew

Matthew is one of 27 books.

I don't have the verses now but,

"If you have seen me you have seen the father-God."

"The father and I are one."

"I go to be with my father in heaven who sent me"

There are many others.

There are many clues in the bible as to its original meaning as regards the truth about jesus, and also prophesys about the coming of mohammed. The notes within your Quran should contain references to such Bible passages. My story: Jesus The Messenger contains such passages, one of which follows: Matthew 19 16 -17 "And behold, one came and said unto him, "good master what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?" And he said unto him, "why thou callest me good? (there is) none good but one, (i.e) God, but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." Did you notice the emphasis on the concept of one God ?

Another Biblical passage is as follows, Matthew 23 9 "and call no man father upon the earth: for one is your father which is in heaven." Again did you notice the number 1 in the verse ?

Thanks. I have read all that.  Theree is some biblical support for your view.

I don't concern myself much about this.  What is important is that Jesus spoke the words of God. His exact nature is not a big issue.

Christians also say there is one God but like there is one hand that one hand has several parts, still each part is hand.

Interesting hand analogy, it is however important to base opinion on fact and what is written !

I am explaining the Trinity concept, not my opinion.

I agree with you there is one God.

I do not worry about how he exists, what form, I am only concerned to read, understand and follow his commandments.  I am not Muslim but I do respect the Islamic religion.
