That’s because for a small portion of the population, obesity may be a far more complex health problem, tied up with genetics and other triggers inside your body. One interesting study looked at the role of genes in the onset of obesity in twins.
Researchers at the Department of Pediatrics at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland found that genetic factors may play a far bigger role in regulating how the body balances its energy needs than previously thought.
