This photo is part of my Rosebank Distillery and other Scottish Whiskys!!
Please fell free to join and add more photos of scotch whisky and Scottish distilleries!!
The Rosebank was recorded in 1817 & worked by James Robertson.
It was moved to this present site in 1840 when he acquired the malting's of the older Camelon Distillery & rebuilt in 1864. Offices were added later on & the complex was expanded to the north & east.
The Rosebank building is a prominent landmark beside the Forth & Clyde Canal, which was a vital source of cooling water, & the old bonded warehouse across the road is used as a restaurant.
This distillery was moth-balled by United Distillers in 1995 & in 2005/6 the northern & eastern parts were demolished to make way for flats!
This remaining section still contains the vats, storage tanks, whiskey safe and stills.
Here is two bottles of the fine whiskey that they produced!!
One is varnish by my late Grandfather(RIP). My Grandfather was saving it for his 90th Birthday, however he died a few months before he reached it.
My Dad now has both bottles back in his care.
Don't worry cat lovers, Gingy is far to young to be allowed to drink!! He's currently 14 weeks old!!
