A giant pink ribbon is hanging from the North Portico of the White House for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Last Friday, First Lady Michelle Obama addressed the challenges facing many cancer patients who have problem maintaining treatment due to health insurance. The ribbon went up over the weekend.

Lownsdale as well as other cancer survivors told their stories about struggling for health care coverage and how their past with the disease still affects their future with insurance companies.
