Why You Should Stretch in the Workplace

A funny but must-to-know fact: stretching is really vital if you want to stay fit while working for hours.
Take into consideration the fact that the longer you sit or stand at work without any frequent breaks or time to stretch, you are putting yourself at greater risk of developing stiffness, neck, arm, wrist, hand, back and leg strain, as well as painful muscle tension. Small strains and stiffness may not seem like a big deal but the longer you deal with it, the worse it will get and if left untreated, can cause you to a lot of pain and discomfort.
4 stretching types you should incorporate:
- Neck Stretches;
- Shoulder/Arm Stretches;
- Hands/Wrists Stretches;
- Leg Lifts Stretches.

You shouldn't work at a keyboard for more than an hour straight without stretching- otherwise shoulder "complications" could ensue. I need to tattoo that across my forehead.

haha! definitely so! I sit in front of the computer for hours and keep forgetting to either stretch or just stand up and relax for a second!

Ann Smarty, I like this story. It's good stuff. This is timely for I have the most horrendous neck ache from studying all day for forthcoming exams. Ow!
