Truemors
British researchers have made a dramatic breakthrough against a lethal form of prostate cancer.
Trials of a new pill have shown that it can shrink tumours in up to 80 per cent of cases, and end the need for damaging chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
The drug works by blocking the hormones which fuel the cancer.
The Institute of Cancer Research hopes a simple pill form will be available in two to three years.
An advanced clinical trial involving 1,200 patients around the world is currently under way, with more trials likely later this year.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men.
It is estimated that up to 10,000 men a year in the UK are diagnosed with the most aggressive - and almost always lethal - form of prostate cancer.

Fantastic news! The Maltese are exceptionally proud of Dr. Johann de Bono. A couple of days ago we read about Patrick Swayze's battle against pancreatic cancer and his search for a cure. Would there be any similar studies? Best regards, Gillian

Hi,
I live in México City. My father suffers cancer of prostate metastasis. In November 2003 he was controlled surgically, they made him an orquitectomÃa and until June, 2008 he had been in stable conditions but in August, 2008 the PSA he had 2410 with very much pain and he cannot walk.
The doctor prescribed him anto-androgeins prednisona and ketokonazol.
The medicine of the Johann Bono is very interesting. please do you know how I can locate he?? or your e-mail contact, it is very importan for me and my family.

Dear, Dr. Johann de Bono My father is prostate canser. We are very helpless. I hear, you find a way for prostate canser. But The medicine come to turkey 2 years later. I am very sad.
