Many people believe that they can compensate for the bad effects of drinking alcohol by having a good workout the next morning. Research from the UK's Department of Health shows that a large grouop people feel that playing sport and regularly going to the gym counteracts health problems caused by drinking at dangerous levels. They are now informing such people that to keep fit and healthy drinkers must keep their drinking to safe levels.

Public Health Minister Gillian Merron said: “Everyone knows that regularly taking part in physical activity is important for maintaining good health.

“But the truth is, if you have a big night at the pub, you’re not going to compensate with a workout the following day. Damage from regularly drinking too much can slowly creep up and you won't see it until it's too late.

thank you.however, i feel like the survey was misleading.the survey asked all those people if they exercised after drinking heavily.but the survey (i think) didnt ask them "hey, you know if you exercise after drinking..you could still die cuz your organs will fail?"i think the people who agreed that they exercise....merely were agreeing that yes they do it to get active the next day and try to get their body focused rather than lying in bed all miserable.that's where i feel its misleading.i bet a lot of those people KNOW that exercise wont stop them from organ failure.. but it does help in the sense that they're not being lazy the next day.do you get what im saying?
