YOUR HEALTH vs CHEMICAL SYNONYMS
In reading a briefing article by the US FDA concerning contaminated animal feed it became very interesting on reading the remark “…..as we learn more and we get the ingredient side of this figured out,…”. What is really talked about here are CHEMICALS. Indeed was it not for the permutations of atomic bonding substances our World would have changed little from our cave beginnings yet through discovery, knowledge and technology the whole essence of what we have, what we are and our very survival depends upon them. Chemicals are about MEDICINES, FOOD and BEVERAGE ADDITIVES, SYNTHETIC MATERIALS, FERTILISERS, ANIMAL FEED and a host of others and only a BRAND NAME may differentiate between them in the TRADE MARKET PLACE unless one is knowledgeable about Chemical Data formula. For example which of the following would you not question the meaning of in digesting: H2O, C18H20FN3O4, C14H18N2O5, C11H15NO2
MEDICINAL [ proprietory products ] as prescribed by your Doctor can be assigned NEW non-proprietory names by the British National Formulary (BNF) where the PATENT of an existing proprietory product has expired or where a new formulation having the SAME COMPOSITION as a proprietory product has been introduced. Thus if your Doctor prescribes [ C16H13ClN2O ] as a prefered medication, first marketed as Valium, then the following CHOICE may also present itself to your Doctor as synonyms: Valium, Diazepam, Diazepan, Dipam, Diapam, Diazepin, Prozepam, Paxel, Ansiolisina, Methyldiazepinone, Calmocitene, Neurolytril, Bialzepam, Ceregulart, Condition, Diazemuls, Diazetard, Liberetas, Relaminal, Serenamin, Tranquirit, Ansiolin, Apozepam, Atensine, Bensedin, Calmpose, Diacepan, Dipezona, Domalium, Kiatrium, Paranten, Quetinil, Quiatril, Quievita, Relanium, Renborinm Ruhsitus, Seduksen, Serenack, Serenzin, Stesolid, Stesolin, Tensopam, Tranimul, Tranqdyn, Unisedil, Valitran, Alboral, Aliseum, Amiprol, Apaurin, Armonil, Assival, Cercine, Diastat, Dienpax, Eurosan, Faustan, Freudal, Frustan, Gihitan, Horizon, Lembrol, Morosan, Saromet, Sedipam, Seduxen, Setonil, Sibazon, Sonacon, Umbrium, Atilen, Dialag, Duksen, Eridan, Levium, Paxate, Plidan, Vatran, Velium, Duxen, Lamra, Relax, Solis, Valeo, Vival, Vivol, Zipan, Noan, Usempax ap, Azedipamin, Britazepam, Calmociteno, Centrazepam, Kabivitrum, Ortopsique, Valrelease, Ansilive, Anxicalm, Anxionil, Benzopin, Calmaven, Chuansuan, Desconet, Desloneg, Diaceplex, Gewacalm, Jinpanfan, Mentalium, Metamidol, Nixtensyn, Novodipam, Pacitran, Paralium, Psychopax, Radizepam, Simasedan, Trankinon, Trazepam, Valaxona, Valiquid, Valuzepam, Vanconin, Antenex, Arzepam, Betapam, Diapine, Diaquel, Diatran, Disopam, Drenian, Evacalm, Faustal, Gradual, Iazepam, Kratium, Medipam, Nellium, Nerozen, Nervium, Nivalen, Notense, Novazam, Reliver, Zepaxid, Baogin, Calmod, Caudel, Dialar, Diapax, Diazem, Ducene, Lovium, Mandro, Paceum, Parzam, Dipaz, Dizac, Doval, Dupin, Gubex, Lizan, Paxum, Pomin, Sipam, Vazen, Winii, Best, Apo-diazepam, Diazepam Nordic, Diazepam-Lipuro, Diazepan leo, Methyl diazepinone, Fabra, Diazepam Stada, Diazepam Elmu, Metil Gobanal, Diazepam Dak, e-Pam, Diazepam Desitin, Euphorin P, Mandro-Zep, Sico Relax Diazapam, Tranquase, Alupram, Sedapam, Tensium, Vazepam, Diazepam Rectubes, neurolytr il, Placidox 2, Placidox 5, Elcion CR, An-Ding, Kratium 2, ProPAM, Tranquo-tablinen, Diazepam-ratiopharm, Faustan, Placidox 10, Diazepam solution, Diazepam Intensol, Valium R, D-Pam, Diazepamu [Polish], T-quil, Diazepam-Eurogenerics, Q-pam, LA III, La-Iii, Diastat (TN), Valium (TN), Diazepamum [INN-Latin], nchembio747-comp27, Spectrum3_001780, Spectrum4_000576, Spectrum5_001890, S.a. r.l. ,CCRIS 6009, C16H13ClN2O, DEA No. 2765, Oprea1_126223, BSPBio_003279, KBioGR_001012, HSDB 3057, MLS000759402, D0899_SIGMA, D9900_SIGMA, DivK1c_000967, Ro 5-2807, Diazepam (JP15/USP/INN), Methyldiazepinone (pharmaceutical), S.A. Choice maybe to Medical Practitioners but what of the Lay Person whom is not versed about “same compositions”?. Is this not equivalent to a SuperMarket isle dedicated to tubes of toothpaste all of which compete for the same customer, whereas a GP does the shopping in terms of medicines on your behalf.
FOOD / BEVERAGE ADDITIVE As an example consider an artificial sweetner having the composition [C14H18N2O5 ] – commonly E number E951 in the European Union. Its synonyms are: 1-Methyl N-L-alpha-aspartyl-L-phenylalanate, 1-Methyl N-L-alpha-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine, 22839-47-0, 3-Amino-N-(alpha-carboxyphenethyl)succinamic acid N-methyl ester, 3-Amino-N-(alpha-carboxyphenethyl)succinamic acid N-methyl ester, stereoisomer, 3-Amino-N-(alpha-methoxycarbonylphenethyl) succinamic acid, 53906-69-7, 7421-84-3, APM, Asp-phe-ome, Aspartam [INN-French], Aspartame, Aspartame (USAN), Aspartame [USAN:BAN:INN], Aspartame, L,L-alpha-, Aspartamo [INN-Spanish], Aspartamum [INN-Latin], Aspartylphenylalanine methylster, C11045, Canderel, CCRIS 5456, D02381, Dipeptide sweetener, EINECS 245-261-3, Equal, HSDB 3915, L-Aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester, L-Phenylalanine, L-alpha-aspartyl-, 2-methyl ester, L-Phenylalanine, N-L-alpha-aspartyl-, 1-methyl ester, Methyl aspartylphenylalanate, Methyl L-alpha-aspartyl-L-phenylalanate, Methyl L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine, Methyl N-L-alpha-aspartyl-L-phenylalaninate, N-L-alpha-Aspartyl-L-phenylalanine 1-methyl ester, Nutrasweet, SC 18862, Succinamic acid, 3-amino-N-(alpha-carboxyphenethyl)-, N-methyl ester, stereoisomer, Sweet dipeptide, Tri-sweet [ Warning Note: The above content needs verification ] This is an ingredient to approximately 6,000 + consumer foods and beverages sold worldwide. MATERIAL base: As an example consider [ C3H6N6 ] commonly known as MELAMINE. Its synonyms are: 1,3, 5-Triazine-2,4,6-triamine, 1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6(1H,3H,5H)-triimine, 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6(1H,3H5H)triimine, 1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6-triamine, 108-78-1, 130392-03-9, 169314-62-9, 2,4, 6-Triamino-1,3,5-Triazine, , 2,4,6-triamino sym-triazine, 2,4,6-Triamino-1,3,5-Triazine, , 2,4,6-Triamino-s-triazine, 2,4,6-Triaminotriazine, 4-26-00-01253(Beilstein Handbook reference), 41583-09-9, 504-18-7, , 62572-83-2, 626-32-4, 65544-34-5, 67757-43-1, 67797-68-6, 68379-55-5, 70371-19-6, 94977-27-2, A2804/0118538, ADK Stab ZS 27, Aero, AI3-14883, AIDS-019778, , AIDS019778, , BRN 0124341, c0258, C08737, CCRIS 373, , CHEBI:27915, , Cyanuramide, Cyanuric triamide, , Cyanurotriamide, Cyanurotriamide, , Cyanurotriamine, Cymel, DG 002, DG 002(amine), , EINECS 203-615-4, Hicophor PR, HSDB 2648, , Isomelamine, , Mark ZS 27, Melamine, NCI-C50715, NSC 2130, , NSC2130, , NSC7992, Pluragard, Pluragard C 133, s-triaminotriazine, s-Triazine, 2,4,6-triamino-, s-Triazinetriamine, Spinflam ML 94M, Teoharn, Theoharn, Triaminotriazine, Virset 656-4, , Yukamelamine, ZINC00897751, ZS 27 [ Warning Note: The above content needs verification ] Do you feel confused by all of this?. Would ANY cross contamination of the above put your Health be at RISK and HOW would it be recognised – by an increase in the work load of morticians?. If a water treatment Chemical compound has the name Isothianoline but Isothainline is supplied by mistake would it be mistakenly used?. In the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />US the controversy over contaminated food now appears to about wrong labeling as being the cause!. Do we really know the long term Health effects of consuming many of the CHEMICALS which now comprise in what we DIGEST or through the IRRADATION of food produce?. Could CHEMICALS by way of medicinal products be dietary supplements or antidotes to neurotoxins that occur after digestion?. When is a poison not a poison – the answer of course is when our own bodies manufacture them from Chemical Compounds which, in their supplied state, are not!. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is a GOVERNMENT AGENCY through the merger of the Medicines Control Agency and the Medical Devices Agency. It is RESPONSIBLE for ensuring that medicines and medical devices work, and are acceptably safe. UNDER BRITISH LAW a medicine is something used in disease and so cosmetics, what products contain, what products are advertised for and the way that they will be used, any particular targeting of the market information and what promotional literature says are NOT part of their remit. Claims that Health products support health/healthy lifestyle are not usually considered as medicines even given that the TITLE of this Agency includes “HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS”!. Do all medicines come under the scrutiny of the MHRA or only those via prescription or dispensed from recognised NHS pharmacy outlets?. Globalisation, TRADE and CONSUMER SAFETY: If a Country of origin approves a substance as “being safe for Human consumption” are the Governments of importing Countries obliged to undertake independent “research” to confirm such safety on behalf of the welfare of their own people or is “pre_approval” acceptable as a means of RUBBER STAMPING consumer safety?. Given that there are 27 Member States to the EU alone that represents 351 interconnections OR 702 direct “IN” and “OUT” TRADE ROUTES to Administer. Of course it is the “IN” route to a Country that would normally be representative of the CUSTOMER and so should ALL BORDERS become “checking posts” for GOODS ENTRY or should the manufacturers paperwork simply be accepted. This then leads on to the “STANDARDS ADOPTED by COUNTRIES” as to “MEANINGS”. In the UK irradiated food labels state “irradation” whereas other countries may adopt terms such as “cold pasteurisation” or “electronic pasteurization” which may serve to CLOAK irradiated produce awareness from British consumers!. Are all consumers to compile EQUIVALENCE DICTIONARIES for their own protection as to COUNTRY DEPENDANT MEANINGS or should there be GLOBAL STANDARDS to adhere to in reflecting GLOBAL TRADE as to DESCRIPTION, METHODS, MEANING and SAFETY?. Globally STANDARDS differ and so awareness through education must be beneficial to the LOWEST DENOMINATOR, after all it may be that denominator which, through its ignorance, could “seed” a chain reaction affecting the Health of the entire planet!.
