Yvonne Zanos, a reporter with KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh died this morning from ovarian cancer; she was just days away from her 60th birthday.

Yvonne Zanos was best known for being a consumer reporter and she had covered the beat since 1987. She also ran a column called 'Does It Really Do That?', where she tested a range of products and gave her reviews.

The station's general manager Chris Pike said, "I would have difficulty finding someone who was as universally well-liked here and in the community. It's a cliche, but what you see is what you get. Her personality, which was fun and contagious, came through the TV screen.

Yvonne was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2007.

i have never responded to a situation like this, but i need to express how wonderful i felt Ynonne was.  If she said a product was good, i bought it.  She will surly be missed by more than her family.
