It's Wednesday and it's been raining heavily for more than two and a half days in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. Several neighbourhoods in the northwest of the city have been flooded, after the Ibarlucea Canal, a derivation of the Ludueña Stream (which empties into the Paraná River),
overflowed on Tuesday. About 2,500 people have been evacuated to two emergency centers, and the local authorities were considering opening two others.

In the meantime, the Paraná River has risen to 5.18 m, above the alert level of 5 m, and not far from the evacuation level. Residents of the floodplain's islands have moved or evacuated. The rains are predicted to continue until Friday.
