Historic Tornado Outbreak Yesterday (May 5, 2007) in OK, KS, and NE!

TornadoVideos.net storm chasers Reed Timmer, Joel Taylor, and Ken Cole (Tornadoglory.com) captured this huge 1/4 mile wide tornado in Stafford Co., KS at around 8:00 pm CDT.  The tornado crossed the road within 1/8 mile from the storm chasers, and sadly caused significant damage between St. John and Great Bend, KS.

As of late this evening, over 90 tornadoes have been reported in OK, KS
and NE!  This has been one of the most significant tornado outbreaks in
several years.  Sadly, it appears that several homes were damaged and
people have lost their lives.  Sweetwater and Sharon, OK sustained
direct hits, along with a few towns in KS.

Tomorrow (Sunday, May 6) also looks to be another tornado outbreak over the same region!  The people of southwest KS and northwest OK definitely need a break...but a respite does not appear to be in order until Monday.

Stay tuned for updates!
