HMCS Vancouver in Burrard Inlet by sillygwailo

Trying to pass the time while installing Windows XP on my MacBook, I looked out the wiindow to see a rescue helicopter in the Burrard Inlet, landing near my office.  (Working for Bryght, I share an office with NowPublic.)  Using Roland's camera, I took some photos of it, and only after a few days of searching my hard drive for the photos and uploading them to Flickr did I do a few searches on what helicopter it might have been.  The number 912 and the word 'rescue' led me to a forum post at AVCANADA, which gave me the make of the helicopter (I initially thought it was a Sea King, if only because they had been in the news a lot more than Cormorants), then did a search on Google News to find an article in The Vancouver Sun. Here's the relevant paragraph form the article:

he connection between the [Memorial] Cup and Canadian soldiers was evident Thursday. After arriving aboard the HMCS Vancouver, a CH-149 Cormorant Air Force search and rescue helicopter transported the trophy to an army convoy with the help of members of the Canadian Armed Forces. It was then strapped to the roof of a truck for a ride through downtown Vancouver.

Also attached as coverage is a photo from my cell phone of the HMCS Vancouver.
