Holger Linz's Channel

I am an IT system integrator and specialist for barcode printing systems. In my
free time I am also working as a freelance videographer/journalist. I am
interested in citizen journalism as a means of creating more awareness for the
topics that really matter close to the people.  Currently, reading a lot of
NowPublic.com articles, I try to get more in tune with written English again as
my abilities to write in English have been "retired" for quite some
years.

For me, NowPublic.com is a very intresting project, and the type
of site I think Germany should have, as German mass media have increasingly come
under the control very few think tanks, and "independent press" becomes more and
more of a hollow word only. Crowed powered media are a good step towards
reinstalling democratic abilities in a country, where a polar bear named "Knut"
is the only story that brings the peoples off their sofas ...
