This is my husband teaching the fire academy. They're doing a thing where they set a fire in this special fire trailer, one team goes into the fire, and another team goes on to the roof and cuts a whole for ventilation. Ryan is the Safety Officer by this point in the day because earlier (while I was watching) the fire got too hot, the recruits didn't move out the exit fast enough, and my husband got 2nd degree burns on his shoulders. It was a good lesson to the recruits that they're not fireproof, and that they need to MOVE THEIR ASS.
