My Wind Turbine
A man from Fylde in Lancashire who wants to install a wind turbine on land behind his house has had his plans turned down by the local council.

Dave Sumner, from Newton near Kirkham, wanted to build the 15m (49ft) mast on his 10 acre plot of land and use it to power his house.

Mr Sumner said he feels the decision has not been properly considered and is an "injustice".

But Fylde council insists the turbine would look out of place.

Mr Sumner already has solar panels installed on his house and runs his car on LPG.
