Husbands Perfect Gift - A £5K Tummy Tuck

A Derby fitness instructor who put on three stone after an operation was given cosmetic surgery by her husband as a wedding present.

Violet Pett's husband, Denis, 52, picked-up the £5,000 bill for a tummy-tuck after she asked for the present.

And Mrs Pett, of Wharfedale Close, Allestree, said it had transformed her life.

"I met Denis only three years ago and just fell totally in love with him," she said.

"When I told him that I had decided to have cosmetic surgery to restore my shape and confidence he just said go for it babe, it's my wedding present to you."

The 54-year-old said she had worked as a fitness instructor for more than 20 years and had been proud of her well-toned body.

But an appendix operation when she was 40 left her with complications that resulted in her putting on weight.
