I heart tomatoes

I am a tomato pig. This tomato was HUGE -- about as big as softball. My sources tell me it's a Rainbow tomato. I made a ridiculously good salad with it.

In 1519 Cortez saw tomatoes for the first time in Mexico. He sent sample seeds of the "tomatl" back to Spain where it spread to Morocco and Italy. It was known as pomo d'oro or golden apple, suggesting that the first tomatoes were indeed yellow or yellow-orange.
