Nigel Lythgoe, the executive producer for American Idol says he has not seen the "naughty" photos of Antonella Barba, a 20-year-old contestant that has made it to the top 24 on this season's American Idol. Photos of Barba surfaced online a few days ago and show her topless engaged in oral sex. She went through the elimination process inspite of a lackluster performance last week.
The naughty photos of the 20-year-old contestant began circulating around the Internet earlier this week.
She needs her ass kicked off idol… thats the last person young girls need to look up to.

Maybe I am too old, or perhaps it's because I have a daughter.
But what is this thing that turns the private lives of young women into public sexual spectacles? I find it utterly vulgar, in the oldest, scummiest meaning.

If this were a dude, there would not be such a big scandal, I bet.

The big deal is because she is on American Idol. An American show, a family-oriented program that over 30 million people watch per episode.

the thing is, she's singled out by votefortheworst.com, so she's going to be around for a while.
if anything, look at it this way. She actually thought she would be gone this week. Now she has to get another song ready, dor a miserable painfully bad performance and endure another live results night. At least she's being tortured by the whole pressure of it all, and we get to watch it unfold again next week.
