I love Chicago, but I definitely don't love the local mail service.
I had my mail held while on a recent trip. I returned to find my mail (a pleasant surprise) and over 30 other pieces of mail for my neighbors over a 2-block radius (an unpleasant surprise). And this wasn't all junk mail.
Each experiment with having the USPS hold my mail yields new results:
* they have ignored the hold request
* they've held my mail but not my wife's
* they've held my mail for a week after I returned (maybe all the extra mail this time is supposed to compensate for those previous times?)
Someone really needs to fix the Chicago Post Office.
