The Illuminares Lantern Festival is taking place this Saturday, July 28th, 2007 at Trout Lake park in Vancouver. Presented by the Public Dreams Society, the event draws thousands annually and is a local tradition. People put together unbelievably imaginative lanterns. This is surely a good one for the crowd.

Thanks for posting this, kate. The lantern fest is always so beautiful, a really peaceful reminder of the best Vancouver's got. I'm sad I'll miss it this year.
