Some streets near Bryant Park were closed this afternoon after a bucket full of debris fell 53 stories from the roof of a construction site.
Just after 1 p.m., a bucket that was carrying construction debris fell from a crane on the roof of what will be the Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park on 6th Avenue between 43rd and 42nd and plummeted to the sidewalk below.
According to the Fire Department, that bucket hit the building on its way down knocking glass and debris loose.
