They're building a town in the Shuangquiao district of Chongqing province in China where chicks rule; they'll make the decisions and punish "naughty" men. It's being sold as a tourist destination for women, but something seems a little fishy here...

Tourism chief Li Jigang said: “A disobedient man will be punished by
kneeling on a board or doing dishes.”

Hmmm, Li Jigang, it's the name of a man.

Kneeling on a wave like wash board is a typical punishment for husbands, you can see it's mentioned with doing dishes. There's a old saying that gold is underneath men's knees, and normally the hearts of the wives would soften before husbands really kneel on it, so it has become a way for husbands to show their regrets.

I think this kind of thing can only happen in chongqing, a place famous for it's chilli like women. A song called Chilli Sisters(辣妹子) was wrote to describe this, it went really famous, and so did the singer Song Zuying.
