Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia and Germany agreed Thursday to step
up defense cooperation through a number of activities, including
information exchange and joint military exercises.
The two countries also agreed to enhance cooperation in dealing with
terrorism and separatism as well as in conducting joint patrols in the
Malacca Strait, Secretary General of the Indonesian Defense Ministry
Sjafri Sjamsoeddin said after a meeting with German Defense Minister
Peter Elekenboon.
