Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian consumer prices rose faster in
August than in the previous month led by food amid tight supply and as
demand picks up ahead of the Muslim fasting period, most economists
polled by Thomson Financial said.
Muslims normally prepare heavy meals before and after fasting during
the month-long Ramadhan which starts in September, and which will be
followed by the Eid-al Fitr celebrations in October.
