Indosat clarifies disturbance in cellular network

"We clarified the disturbance this morning and reported the case to the telecommunications regulating agency," Adita Irawati, PT Indost`s head of public relations, said here on Monday.

Indosat`s cellular network which was built by Ericsson collapsed at the weekend following a drop in capacity by up to 20 percent.

Due to the disturbance in Indosat`s network, subscribers to prepaid (Mentari, IM3) and post-paid (Matrix) services could not make calls or send text messages.
