After a long time using RadRails for Ruby/Rails development, I've
finally grown tired of waiting on updates. No knock on the RadRails
guys...it's free after all and they have jobs and lives to tend to.
Still, I've looked at the Netbeans projects from afar for awhile (I
used it long ago for Java dev and wasn't impressed, but it's been a
looong time), and I've heard good things about the recently added Ruby
support. But after two tries, the cvs compile on Tor's blog didn't work
for me. I started digging around and finally got it working. So far,
I've got to say I'm very impressed. Without further adieu, here's how
to get it working on your machine.
