iPhones sold out at most Apple stores

This according to Apple's website pre-visit information; for example 90% of stores in California are sold out, and both New York city stores, the 5th avenue and the Soho stores are now out of stock as of yesterday evening 9:00pm. Of course AT&T doesnt provide information about stocks on hand.
