Iraq War 4th Anniversary Extravaganza
On Tuesday March 20th video artists reclaimed space at Ground Zero, WTC
The Glass Bead Collective's 4th anniversary of the 2nd Iraq War Projections at Ground Zero were blatently misreported by FOX News who claimed the event was Not Allowed to Happen because no "permit" had been issued.
While it is true that no permit was issued, the event most clearly happened. Permits were not an issue. If we hadn't needed to park the van facing the wrong direction on the road it seems we could have gone on all night.
Why would FOX spend valuable News Time telling it's viewers that something they probably didn't know about, didn't happen... when it did.

This is really wild, seeing these two videos together - one of an event that "didn't happen" and one that did.

Another issue here might be about sources. Fox news might have been getting their information (that it didn't happen) from whatever official agency didn't issue the permit. No, actually that doesn't make sense. Yeah. Confusing.

At any rate, the video is darn good.
The wonderfully subversive 'weapon' mounted in the back of the van brings to mind a kind of non-violent unterrorism. Yes, that's what it is: unterrorism.

part of the problem could be that most of the News Media at the event stationed themselves where they could not see the projections. THEY WERE F'n Stupid. They set up underneath the super well lit Awning at the entrance to the WTC subway station... They were told we'd be projecting massive images on the sides of the buildings suround ing the "hole" and they set up where they could see only a sliver of a couple of buildings and were being bombarded with super bright light.
Channel 11 got the report right because their camera man was smart enough to move where he could see some of the buildings.
