While this is nothing to brag about for the tech-savy, I found it a good 101 for people not so acquainted with the inner workings of cell phone technology. Worth watching.
This short video explores ways to determine if your cell phone has been compromised to act as a bug. While it's obviously unlikely that this would happen to most people, it was recently revealed that the FBI has used this technique, and just as illicit wiretaps are possible, illicit cell phone bugging could also occur.

This is a rare and wonderful event: a HOWTO crosses over into true news! Surveillance of citizens against their will and outside the law shows no sign of abatement, so this sort of knowledge is very pertinent.
