ISN Security Watch - Czech intelligence gone awry
The fact that other news agencies around the world are reporting on issues surrounding 911 while mainstream American news and liberal sites like DailyKos refuse to even allow discussion on these topics is telling. The U.S. media machine has lost all credibility in their support of this administration. - The Angryindian
ISN Security Watch - Czech intelligence gone awry: "In a stark reminder of one of the US administration's false justifications for the war on Iraq - the country's connection with the 11 September terrorist attacks - reports surfaced in Czech media last week that Ahmad Khalil Ibrahim Samir al-Ani, a former Iraqi diplomat and intelligence agent, had decided to sue the Czech Republic over fictitious claims that met with Muhammad Atta, the ringleader of the attacks on New York and Washingtonm in Prague. Not only did those claims, apparently irresponsibly spread by Czech officials, provide 'evidence' of a connection between Iraq and al-Qaida for hawkish politicians in the US, they also probably led to al-Ani's imprisonment by US forces in Iraq for several years. In an interview published on 18 August in the Czech daily Mlada fronta DNES from his home in Syria, al-Ani said, 'That false information destroyed my life. The Americans imprisoned me for almost three years in Baghdad because of it. I lost everything.' He also claimed to have been tortured."
