OCCUPIED JERUSALEM: The Israeli Foreign Ministry on Monday launched a new Persian-language Web site as part of a diplomatic effort to reach out to the Iranian public. The new Web site, named HAMDAMI - which in Persian means "camaraderie" - is located at: https://hamdami.com. The launching ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni. The project was initiated by Israel's Ambassador to Dublin, Zion Evroni, in his previous position as head of the Political Planning Division. The Web site will be managed by the Arabic Communications Department of the Foreign Ministry's Information and Media Division. Menashe Amir, formerly head of the Israel Broadcasting Authority's Persian language division, was appointed as chief editor of the new Web site.
