IT major TCS to invest Rs. 1,500 crore for new facilities in Tamil Nadu

INRnews.com reports that IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) plans to invest Rs.1,500 crore to create new facilities in Tamil Nadu over the next three years.

TCS plans to make Chennai its largest center over a period of time, replacing Mumbai where it is headquartered now.The company is investing close to Rs. 1,200 crore in Chennai's Siruseri Industrial park to create its largest facility with a seating capacity of 23,000 people. The facility is located on an 80-acre site on Chennai's IT Corridor (Old Mahabalipuram road).
