The Italian Government can go back to the womanizing "real Italian"
Silvio
Berlusconi
The vote wont change and the state of American affairs in the country will
not either. The majority of Italians support Americans in Italy and our NATO bases (which are controlled
by and owned by Italy)
drive tremendous economic impact across the country. The US spends deeply to expand bases owned by Italy, builds
new state of the art hospitals, schools, retail space etc. and will one day
turn it all back over to the Italians. Aviano AB will continue to grow, Vicenza
will grow, Navy bases in the south will grow and all the while some Italians,
including legislators, will oppose US policy publicly and benefit from
the infrastructure upgrades and employment created for Italians at our bases.
So, who cares the party has "snapped"? We need Italy, Italy needs us. Tens of thousands
of Italians work in support of the US and are paid nicely to do so!
