Italian traders hosted at market

Northampton is to host a three day Italian market celebrating some of the country's finest cuisine.

Following a successful visit in 2006, the traders return from 5 July offering food, drink, crafts and even fashion.

A Sicilian delicatessen, meats from Tuscany, olive oils from Modena, wines and jewellery from the Murano region will be on offer.

Richard Church of Northampton Borough Council, said: "The continental markets are always hugely popular."

He added: "I am looking forward to sampling some of the tastes of Italy."
