Australia look to advance to their first-ever quarter-finals in the World Cup on Monday when they take on the favored Italians in Kaiserslautern. Guus Hiddink's Socceroos will be a bit shorthanded heading into the match as midfielder Brett Emerton is suspended after being sent off against Croatia. Jason Culina is likely to step in and take his place with Marco Bresciano also starting.

Golden Goal reporting:

The first half is over. Both of the two teams had some scoring opportunities, but none of the players had the chance to kick the ball into the net.

Italy 0 - Australia 0

The second half is over ... and the score is still 0-0. 3 minutes extra time are added ... Who can score first?

Penalty kick to Italy ... Will Francesco Totti (#10) score? The fans are excited and can hardly watch ...

Goal!!! Goal!!! Goal!!!

Totti (#10) kicks the ball in the net!!!

Italy 1 - Australia 0

Italy is in the next round. Australia's World Cup dream ended with this match in Kaiserslautern. Good-bye Australia.
