Italy coach Marcello Lippi expects his side to prove their critics wrong when they take on Ukraine in Friday's World Cup quarter-final in Hamburg.
Italy crush Ukraine in a decisive 3-0 victory. Despite the scoreline, the match was not packed with thrills, and Ukraine's surge of activity late in the game was thwarted by some impressive goalkeeping by Buffon.
The Ukraine goalie, on the other hand, fumbled and let in a Gianluca Zambrotta ball six minutes after kick-off. Zambrotta's opener was followed by two goals by Luca Toni. Italy now face Germany in an all-European semi-final.
