It's the Sun, Stupid By Bill Steigerwald

Hold up your arm with your palm perpendicular to the blinding bright spot high in the sky.
Feel the heat on your hand? It’s coming from 93 million miles away. Yet it’s so powerful it’ll eventually burn your flesh.

Even filtered by our atmosphere, even after traveling eight minutes at the speed of light, sunshine is so full of energy it can create life on Earth, turn water to gas and melt polar ice.

But the sun can’t cause global warming. (?)

Before I get all the hate mail. Let me add that I agree we need environmental responsibilty. But I never hear any contrasting views. Is this real? Is this hype? Researchers on both sides have the data. I just think it's important to hear both sides of the story before we allow ourselves to be brainwashed by the big 3 networks and most of the major newspapers and magazines.

perhaps not calling your opponents "stupid" would be a start at avoiding hate mail.  Just putting it out there...

It was the title of the article....the global warming proponents have already done it too. So let's not go there. You know don't remove the speck out of your neighbors eye while ignoring the pole in yours...

my eyes are moteless... I just found your plea for no hate mail ironic...

sbwolfe

again... I wasn't calling anyone stupid. I cut and paste the title of the article...

The reason for the plea for no hate mail was because I know, as I have seen on nowpublic, people respond with fits of rage, starting flagging everything, and going off the handle because they assume the article is completly how the poster feels. I don't necessarily agree with the entire article, but I do think it is important for both view points to be read and/or seen. Often it is not in todays television and print media.

So, to find it ironic gives me the impression that you didn't read the article and place my comments with it.  My feelings are not identical with the authors. I might have even titled it different. I don't want to be the target of this man's feelings. I just want contrasting viewpoints given.
