Its the Jews.

WaPo has an article today explaining that the 110th is the most Jewish congress ever.

Like most Jews (yes, you can be black and Jewish at the same time) I get a little paranoid when people start randomly pointing us out. No doubt someone on the right or the left will see this WaPo article as proof of the vast Jewish conspiracy that forced us into Iraq to protect Israel, despite the fact that most Israelis agree that the war in Iraq has made them less safe than before.

Needless to say, I read the following passage with both pride and paranoia:

About 2 percent of Americans identify themselves as Jewish. But in Congress, the proportion of Jewish members is now four times that. Six new Jewish House members were sworn in last week, bringing the total to 30. In the Senate, the 13 Jewish members include freshmen Benjamin L. Cardin (D-Md.) and Bernard Sanders (I-Vt.), according to the National Jewish Democratic Council.
