TOP baby doctor Mohammed Taranissi is to sue the BBC for £1million over claims made in a Panorama show.

The London-based IVF specialist has helped mothers have 2,300 babies.

But the investigation, shown in January, discredited his techniques.

Egyptian Mr Taranissi has said he is the victim of a “witch hunt”.

Libel lawyers Carter-Ruck wrote to the BBC last week to inform them of the court action.
