Jack-Knifed Bus Blocking Access to Simon Fraser University
I've just received a report through Simon Fraser that a bus has jack-knifed and is blocking the transit exchange at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby. They are issuing a transit advisory because a number of buses (135, 143, 144, 145) will terminate at the "Tunnel" of SFU Transportation Centre. This must be weather related because it continues to pour with ugly wet snow - slush is falling in streams from the sky like a giant grey slurpee.

Subject: [CUPE3338-members] **Transit Advisory**
Dear All,
The following message has been posted on Translink's Traffic Advisory website:
#135, #143, #144, #145 will terminate (unitl further notice) at the "Tunnel" of SFU Transportation Centre because of a jack-knifed bus blocking the SFU Transit Exchange..
We have no confirmation or information about this from SFU - it is not on the Road Conditions page.
Also "unofficially" we have had feedback that the conditions on the roads down the hill are not good.
Many areas on the lower mainland are also poor.
So take care.
In Solidarity,
Joann Field
President, CUPE 3338

Apparently they are closing the campus at 4pm because of the transportation mess.
