James Brown's body placed in crypt

Soul legend James Brown's body has been placed in a crypt at his home in Beech Island, S.C., according to a spokesperson for his friend Rev. Al Sharpton.

Rachel Noerdlinger said Sharpton presided over a private ceremony that included family and a few friends. That's not the singer's final resting place.

Brown died on Christmas Day at age 73 of heart failure and his body has been held at an undisclosed location since.
