As Jamie Leigh embarks on what may arguably be her most personal project to date, she serves as a comfort to the rest of us. She is allowing us to sit on the couch with her, "In Session," watching as she wrestles her darkest demons, laughing with her, crying with her, sharing stories, and ultimately - producing art.
The spectrum of human emotion is infinite, and none before Jamie have attempted to capture it through a medium such as this. This baptism by fire will show a new side of Jamie - not only to her fans, but to the human race as a whole which may at first seem grandiose, but once thought about - in actuality, is one of the most simplistic concepts around. As individuals, we each represent a power to change the world that far too many feel just isn't good enough because of social pressures. It's an injustice, and it must end. If it can't end, it must be proven that one can make a difference by starting from within, daring to step out and make a bold leap with great humor and fun, and then share those ideas and gifts through the use of todays technology with others. The hope? To inspire bravery and personal strength in a world filled with constant chaos.
To quote the film Contact, "For as long as I can remember, I've been searching for something, some reason why we're here. What are we doing here? Who are we? If this is another chance to find out even just a little part of that answer... I don't know, I think it's worth whatever risks may come my way. Don't you?"
So many of us have sat on a couch like hers, cried like her, felt like her, laughed until our bellys ached like her, but may not have been strong enough to seek the help and determination to beat all those odds that are often unconciously conditioned into our minds. Alone and isolated and behind closed doors, we often feel as though we don't deserve the help we need, and we don't ask for it. It is forbidden, taboo, immoral indulgence, yet it has never been looked at through the eyes of someone who might view this as yet another adventure that just maybe could really help people in a new way. Like the child inside all of us, this is simply another experiment, another chance to take a journey and see what's on the other side.
Jamie Leigh, never one to back down from a challenge, shares her strength with us and offers us hope in a revolutionary project that's sure to touch the hearts of anyone who has ever felt a human emotion and decided to fight back against the "No's" and "Impossible's" of todays disconnected world.

"Jamie Leigh In Session" Micro Site Set To Launch
The brand new micro site for the new project has been officially set up and is set to launch soon, keep checking back to see it's debut shortly!
What will be involved: All the newest technologies will be utilized to bring you into an intimate space that anyone on the planet can tap in and relate to on any level, but which is often spoken of (if ever spoken at all) with great stigma and judgements attached. It is an area of all lives and journeys that is often defined as taboo, dangerous, forbidden, frowned on, unmentionable, unthinkable, the list goes on. This project will dare to break that stigma, open up communication lines, and take you on a journey which you will be able to follow with the simple use of your eyes, ears, and a computer through the use of podcasts, audio sessions (big hint there), videos, new personal blog, and more. The goal of this project is not simply to break through the barriers, but present the tools to then take and put to use once those barriers have been broken and affect real change. There are only so many "No's", and "Impossible's" one person can hear in their lifetime, especially from "the man" before they simply refuse to back down, and instead, head out to prove the doubters wrong and succeed. Call it baptism by fire if you will. Someone must be brave enough to take that first step and set a small path, and this is hopefully what this very project will achieve in doing - one can only hope!
New Arena To Be Tried - Songwriting, Lyricist, And Original Composing
"In Session" will also see Jamie's first attempts at songwriting and composing.
Having grown up surrounded by music playing in various bands and reading raw musical compositions for years, this new project will also see the beginning of what hopefully will be a new challenge and exciting direction in Jamie's artistic expression.
Wilco Matla, the talented singer/songwriter from The Netherlands who first composed a theme song which ran at the end of a recent documentary film with Jamie Leigh, will be on hand to work together as the two team up to create and produce "as many pieces that come out and seem simple and right." Matla was the first to suggest that Jamie try her hand at songwriting after being an avid reader of her poetry, letters, and various pieces of personal narrative for years.
"She doesn't know this, but I've saved almost everything she's ever done and I like to take pages I've printed out and sit and read them for long periods of time whenever I can manage a free moment. There's so much good stuff in there. It seems like she was born to do this as things come out so naturally - nothing is ever contrived and she has a real gift for putting spoken word, sound, and any form of visual interpretation to convey just about any emotion. She's directed purely by feeling and not practicality, and that bleeds through in any work she's ever tried."
Matla's father, another musician, is considered to be one of the best and most well known songwriters in their home country.
All songs put together throughout "In Session" will be documented, archived, and if the goal is achieved - premiered at the final stages of the project. It is to be made very clear however, that the term, "In Session" will be about documenting far more than just musical projects, as it will also cover personal examination and various therapudic methods of self-discovery.
