Since retiring from a Detroit Chrysler plant, I've retired to my home town of Flint, Michigan, where I've been doing some writing and reporting online at a couple of sites such as: Examiner.com; Helium; Allvoices; Associated Content, just to name a few. My dad moved the family to Flint, from Chicago in 1951, where he worked until his death at Buick Motor Division, which used to be headquartered here in Flint. G.M. was started here in Flint, thus the nickname for the city is the "Vehicle City." Before G.M., Flint was a carriage maker.
